The Vande Mataram Memorial is a CSR initiative by Ashapura Group that seeks to immortalise the most momentous episodes in India's freedom struggle from the revolt of 1857 right up to the country's Independence in 1947.
The museum complex is situated near Bhuj in Kutch, Gujarat. over 12 acres of land; the primary structure "Sansad Bhavan" measures over 100,000 square feet. It was constructed over 4 years with a mélange of inputs from prominent historians, architects, sculptors and artists.
A secondary structure of 50,000 sq.ft modelled on the Agra fort, contains a special gallery of freedom fighters from Gujarat, an auditorium, a library and a food court.
